Joining as a Cadet

There are 5 easy stages to joining :-

Check you meet the age requirements (see faq page)

Locate the unit nearest to you (see units page)

Turn up at the unit and talk to the staff or Click Here to send an email and someone from the unit will contact you.

After you have made contact with the unit you wish to attend, you will be given some paper work to fill in.

Hand back the paper work (filled in) with the joining fee and after a probation period you will be issued your uniform and can begin training.

Joining as an Adult

The joining process has many stages and can take some time but its worth the wait !

Basically :-

Make contact with the nearest unit to you or contact B Company HQ directly (the unit will send you to HQ anyway)

Once you have had your initial interview with the Company Commander you will be given an adult joining pack which contains all the necessary forms for joining.

Once you have completed the forms you will be required to complete a medical and a security check will be undertaken

During these stages you can still attend cadets and you will be required to complete 4 assessment weekends. You will have a rank of PI given to you (potential instructor)

After the security check has been completed and you have attended the 4 weekends you will then be required to attend a 1 week course run by the Army. After successful completion of this course you will then receive your new rank of Sergeant.

When you are given your rank the procedure is complete and you can begin to enjoy the role of being an instructor in the Army Cadet Force

We appreciate that this sounds a lot but you must appreciate that we are looking after children.
